Walking out on Ahmadinejad

Ahmadinejad Cartoon, originally uploaded by rbtenorio.

Maybe Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad should have stuck to discussing the skiing conditions at the UN conference on racism in Geneva. Instead, he insulted Israel in a speech ... which prompted other attendees to walk out. Mephistopheles and Frank Faust discuss the speech -- and the reaction it caused -- in the latest episode of "The Devil Made Me Blog It"!

Hmmm ... did the Conference on Racism discuss the extermination of the Dinkas (we can't say "genocide" because in accordance with covenants that the U.S. has signed, it would be require to act) ... or the slave raids in the south of Sudan?

Ant-isemtic? Excuse me rich but the Persians are indeed a semitic people.

Nice try though.

Also, why is it that every time I hear this guy has said horrible things, I read his actual comments and, they are at worst silly, but often nowhere near as bad as they are made out to be.

I don't know why people insist on giving this guy so much credit. Mischaracterizing what he says and jumping up and down every time he opens his mouth just drives moderate Iranians. who may not totally agree with him, to his defense.

So when is Isreal going to declare their nuclear capabilities and sign the non-proliferation treaty so we can stop being hypocrits when we criticize countries like Iran? Huh?
