Have you ever considered who you are to tell grannies what to do with their money?
Should we outlaw alcohol too, for the distaste is leaves in our mouths that so many people waste their paychecks on it?
Frankly, I don't like it either, but only because its exclusionary. I don't see why its any of the state's business what people decided to consensually do with each other.
Laws against gambling have been as ineffectual as laws against drugs, or any number of human vices.
In the end its like abortion... don't like it? Good, don't do it then. And feel free to think what you want, but please, stop asking the state to continue interfering in what other people want to do.
