I think its just more evidence that monogamy isn't for everyone. In fact, if the numbers on cheating are to be believed, it isn't for most people.
Its sad that its crammed down everyones throats from such a young age that even some of the most prevalent cheaters couldn't imagine having anything other than a "monogamous relationship".
He is to blame for setting himself up for failure with unrealistic expectations of his own commitment. Society is to be blamed for leaving him, and many others, feeling as if there is no other choice.
